Why Some Small Businesses Succeed Where Others Fail

Hello and welcome to my blog on all topics related to business. I come from a long line of entrepreneurs. I am one of a few members of my family who have not yet started a business, though that doesn't mean I won't try in the future. My name is Stacy Pascal and I have spent years interrogating family members in order to find out everything I can about what it is like to run a business. I have decided to start blogging about business topics just for fun and so that I can hopefully help someone start and run a successful business.

Pastry Flour

Pastry flour, sometimes called cake flour, is perfect for making a variety of desserts, including gingerbread and sponge cakes. If you are not into making desserts, you can also use this flour as a way to add thickness to your sauces. This kind of flour works well for these purposes because it is extremely fine. Additionally, this kind of flour has a low protein content.

Bread Flour

Dark wheat breads and rye breads benefit from bread flour most. In many of the same cases, people choose to use a high-gluten flour instead. Bread flour is not great for every type of dessert, especially because it is not very fine. Many people associate using bread flour with creating savory dishes rather than desserts. High-gluten flour is not dissimilar, and it may add a more chewy, elastic feeling to the foods you make.

Gluten-Free Flour

Some flours are gluten-free and can be used to make foods for people who have a condition preventing them from eating gluten. Buckwheat flour is one of the most popular options, but almond flour is becoming increasingly common.

Italian 00 Flour

Type 00 flour is a favorite for making pizzas thanks to its soft texture in spite of the fact that it creates chewy crusts. It has a relatively low protein percentage, which also makes it a good choice for fresh, homemade pasta dishes.

Many people believe that simply using all-purpose flour is enough. The truth is that flour can make a significant difference in the way you cook and the way people enjoy your delicious dishes. Whether you adore cooking with Paolo Mariana Type 00 flour, for example, or you are dedicated to gluten-free flour, understanding how to use the different types of flour will give you an edge over many different cooks.
